Description: This is the second of two walks today. Welcome to our suburban yard! We live in an older neighborhood where an aging lawn is giving way to gardens that are alive with native plantings. Thanks to the help of the WPPC’s mentoring program, this bit of earth we call our own is shared with a myriad of butterflies and birds. Come and enjoy a peek at sun and shade gardens! All WPPC Walks on the Wild Side are free of charge and no pre-registration is required. This is not an open house. Guided walk led by the homeowner starts only at the posted time.
Directions: Parking is very limited on Floresta Vista. We will be walking four blocks from Butternut Preserve. If needed we can possibly carpool to Nicole and Mike’s. 1359 Floresta Vista, Crystal Lake.
