Willow Creek Worship Trail, Host: Ken and Deb Behnke
Come join us for a walk on the Willow Creek Worship Trail. This is approximately a 40 acre tract of land set aside for reflection on the property of Willow Creek Community Church. The site contains a large rain garden to control large amounts of runoff from Algonquin Road, several native plant areas and a wetland mitigation area that helps control overflow from Poplar Creek. There is over a mile of looping trails that meander through the property. The property is an interesting combination of native plants and non-native species.
The property is located at the Southeast corner of Barrington and Algonquin Roads. We will meet in Parking Lot “F” on the west side of the building, 10 am on September 12th, 2020. You don’t have to walk the whole trail, but allow about 1 and a half hours if you want to do the whole trail.
