The WPPC’s annual Natural Landscaping Seminar will be held on February 28, 2026 at McHenry County College. Presentations will include woodland restoration from forests to front yards, plants in high-quality remnant prairies, local butterflies and their host plants and a discussion on Piping Plovers. For details, a schedule of events and a link to online registration, see the seminar webpage. The price will be a very reasonable $50 for online or early mail-in, and $55 at the door. The price will include access to all four presentations, our book table, vendor booths from local conservation organizations and our famous buffet lunch. Online registration is now closed but you may register at the door on February 28 beginning at 8am. Due to on-going construction at the college, the main doors to the commons area may be closed. The entrance to the left (under the Luecht Auditorium sign) will be open, and leads directly to the registration table.
