Multitudes of Beautiful Birds Migrate through McHenry County

  • May 26, 2019

May of 2019 was a banner time for birders in McHenry County.  Many reported numbers of colorful birds – scarlet tanagers, Baltimore orioles, indigo buntings, rose-breasted grosbeaks, American goldfinches, and more.  Some of the birds seem to be staying a while.

Hummingbirds and monarch butterflies were also reported.
